Currently, we are happy to welcome new PhD students in these research areas:

  • Sodium-ion-batteries 
  • Electrocatalysis (Nitrogen reduction, CO2 reduction) 
  • Porous (carbon)materials: CO2 capture, Gas separation, H2 storage  

At any time we are pleased to host students for a bachelor or master thesis (topics). Please do not hesitate to contact us.

Electrochemical Energy Storage
The development of model materials strives for the exploration of novel electrochemical mechanisms for energy storage in Sodium-ion batteries or supercapacitors. Our ultimate goal is to find mechanisms which exceed the common assumptions of well-known redox processes or standard electrochemical double layers.
