Graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Chemistry and Earth Sciences 2017 - View into the auditorium
Every year in November, the Faculty of Chemistry and Earth Sciences organizes a graduation ceremony in the auditorium of the Friedrich Schiller University: At this ceremony, all graduates receive the Grade Certificates of their Bachelor's and Master's degrees as well as their doctoral and habilitation certificates. With this ceremony at a traditional site, the Faculty would like to honour the achievements of our students and graduates. Parents and family members are also welcome.
The next graduation ceremony will take place on 22 November 2024.
During the graduation ceremony, outstanding Master's and doctoral graduates receive their awards:
- Chemistry: one award for the best doctoral thesis and one award for the best master thesis, provided by Analytik Jena AG; in 2022 also a second award for a docotral thesis provided by Stiftung Nanotechnologie
- Earth Sciences: one award for the best doctoral thesis or for the best master thesis, sponsored by the Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Geowissenschaften Jena e. V.
