The expert committee of the Academy for Teaching Development cordially invites all teaching staff and students to "DIES LEGENDI - Teaching Day 2024"!
With this year's motto "Let's communicate! Discourse culture in course|classes" addresses the current questions of what role a respectful discourse culture plays in courses and how mechanisms of public political discourse also affect teaching rooms|instruction rooms.
The keynote speech by Prof. Dr Tobias Rothmund (Institute of Communication Science)
"From the Bundestag to the seminar room - pride and prejudice in political discourse",
followed by an open thematic discussion round and a university didactics workshop, will focus on various aspects of the topic and provide an opportunity for exchange.
In addition to the thematic focus, this year's teaching awards will be presented at a ceremony and current teaching projects will be presented in a poster session.

19 November 2024, from 12.00 noon
Where?
University Main Building, Aula and Foyer (Fürstengraben 1) and livestream (except poster session and workshop)

The DIES LEGENDI - Day of Teaching offers a unique opportunity to exchange ideas with other teaching staff and students about methods and strategies for productive and appreciative discourse, to explore perspectives, to gain inspiration for teaching in your own department and thus to jointly advance teaching at our university.
And to ensure that all teaching staff and students have the opportunity to participate in DIES LEGENDI - Teaching Day, all regular course|classes will be cancelled for the duration of the event (dies academicus).
