"Hydrogen is considered to be the energy carrier of the future. It can be produced in a climate-neutral manner and used without emitting pollutants. Additionally, it makes surplus wind and solar power storable and transportable. To make hydrogen usable on a large scale, scientists at the Center for Energy and Environmental Chemistry in Jena are researching new technologies."
